(Antalya, Turkey) April 10th 2011 – The Canadian Women’s Goalball Team defeated Finland by a score of 3 – 2 on a last minute goal by Nancy Morin to claim the gold medal at the 2011 IBSA World Championships and Games. The Canadian Men’s Goalball team won the bronze medal in a thrilling 7 -6 come from behind victory over Belgium to ensure that they wouldn’t leave empty handed. Both Canadian Goalball teams have now qualified for the 2012 Paralympic Games in London, England!
